US 20th Fox Records started in 1958 and was a subsidiary of film studio 20th Century Fox. In 1963, the name was changed to 20th Century Fox Records. The company was rather unsuccessful - only 4 top 50 hits out of over 700 singles issued from 1958 to 1970in the US. In 1972, the label was revived, now as 20th Century Records, and again to 20th Century Fox Records in 1978.
