Australian arm of the US label first appeared in 1962 distributed by EMI.
Prior to 1962, all Liberty products were released on London records. The
off shoot labels (Dolton, Imperial & Soul City etc.) were released
on the Liberty label with “A Dolton recording etc.” in small print on the
label.
The Imperial label came out in its own right around 1968. |
