Penny Farthing Records was established in UK in late 1969 by record producer Larry Page, former co-owner of Page One Records. The Australian label pretty much followed the UK progression, however releases seemed to be sparse. The label entered the charts in Australia in 1970 with The Shocking Blues’ "VENUS" which reached #1. Penny Farthing released more of their stuff, but unsuccessfully. They had a couple of hits by “Daniel Boone” and that was about it, chart wise. Festival probably only released other records by these artists to fulfill the contract. The label went to M7 in 1975, which mostly released disco material on this label and mostly on 12”.  Penny Farthing was discontinued when M7 was taken over by 7 Records.
Larry Page now lives on the Central Coast of New South Wales.
