Label discontinued
The Deutsche Grammophon Gesellschaft registered the name Heliodor already in 1914. With the beginning of the production of vinyl records in 1953/1954 the label was newly founded. At the beginning the label was mainly used to sell records of not so well known upcoming artists at a cheaper price than at the sister label Polydor.
The regular Heliodor output ended early in 1959 with No. 45 0323 and most of the artists
found their way to the Polydor parent label.
In June 1958 they started with the U.S.A. Production with the license rights of Cadence material with a
new series (3000).
