Fontana
Records was started in the 1957 as a subsidiary of the Dutch Philips Records.
It hit the charts regularly throughout the 1960s with acts like Dave Dee, Wayne Fontana, and the Spencer Davis Group. In 1970, when Philips restructured its music operations it dropped Fontana in favor of Vertigo Records. In Norwy, Fontana was operated by Philips from 1958 to 1960 and then by Phonogram until 1970. Here is a (very incomplete) discography for the Norwegian recordings. |
