Class Records was formed in 1951 by Leon Rene in Los Angeles.
Leon's son, piano player and orchestra leader Rafael "Googie" Rene,
was the director of Class Records, and also one of the recording artists.
Leon Rene was also co-founder of the Rendezvous Record Company in 1958.
