Colgems
Records existed from august 1966 to 1970. The label was a joint venture
between Screen Gems (Columbia's TV-division), Columbia Pictures and RCA
Records, to issue records by The Monkees and other Screen Gems artists.
When The Monkees' hits dried out by the end of 1968, Colgems picked up the slack from Colpix Records and issued soundtrack albums from Columbia motion pictures until it closed in late 1970. The catalogue was transferred to Columbia Picture's Bell Records. |
