The main series (45 RPM singles) ran from 1051 (1953) to 1253 (1958). The four first labels were used concurrently.
Gateway Records was founded in 1952 by Carl Burkhardt and Chuck Seitz. Gateway had a lot of subsidiarys, Big 4 Hits the largest. In 1955, Burkhardt set up his own pressing plant, Rite Records Productions Inc. In 1957, the company moved to Philadelphia.
