Country & Western Hits racks during the 1963 Christmas season. The original "Seasons Greetings" sleeves had the 39 cent price in the upper right corner so it could be seen in the Hit Records racks. The series of disks continued to be repressed and sold throughout the 60's. Second edition sleeves have the 39 cent price in the lower right corner, because they were sold out of cardboard display boxes intended to sit on store checkout counters for impulse buying. Originally
disks with even numbers were pressed with red printed labels.
The
whole series was issued in mono. Some of the Holiday Hits series appeared
in stereo on the Hit Records album Current Hits Volume 22 album issued
in November 1964.
