The Holiday Hits was a 10 record (20 songs) series of Christmas songs was used in the Hit Records and
Country & Western Hits racks during the 1963 Christmas season.
The original "Seasons Greetings" sleeves had the 39 cent price in the upper right corner
so it could be seen in the Hit Records racks.
The series of disks continued to be repressed and sold throughout the 60's. Second edition sleeves have the 39 cent price in the lower right corner, because they were sold out of cardboard display boxes
intended to sit on store checkout counters for impulse buying.

Originally disks with even numbers  were pressed with red printed labels.
Odd numbered disks were pressed with green printed labels.
Represses did not follow this pattern.

The whole series was issued in mono. Some of the Holiday Hits series appeared in stereo on the Hit Records album Current Hits Volume 22 album issued in November 1964.
These Christmas selections  were recorded during one of those hot Nashville summers (1963), at the Sam Philips Studio in Nashville,TN. The records credited to William Randolph are actually Bill Pursell organ with Homer "Boots" Randolph on chimes/bells.
The usual Hit Records studio personnel performed on the Christmas sessions.
Personnel were:
Singers: Bobby Russell, solo, and various members of different studio background singing groups
including the Margie Singleton Singers and The Jordanaires.
Musicians: Piano/organ: Bill Pursell
