records was started in october 1979. Proprietor: Jimmie Haskell.
Billboard 08.12.1979: "Jimmie Haskell has begun his own label HORN in L.A. which, in the beginning, will place emphasis on MOR product. Haskell, with a 20-year career as arranger or producer of material for Rick Nelson, Herb Alpert, Kenny Rogers and others says he wanted always to start a label. The idea of a label turned into a reality two months ago when the single "Stinger" by a band called "Psychic" was shipped". The first sleeve had no address given and there were no so called "DJ" copies pressed, just a card attached to the sleeve to ask for more copies of the record.
