Klondike Records was a subsidiary of Holiday Inn Records (yes, THE Holiday Inn).
Holiday Inn Records was founded by D. Wayne Foster and Kemmons Wilson in 1961.
At this time, D. Wayne Foster was Holiday Inn’s National Contract Sales Manager. 
The cause for the start of Holiday Inn Records was Foster’s discovery of a group named The Roller Coasters.
