| Sleeping Bag Records was founded by avant-garde cellist, composer, and underground disco artist Arthur Russell, William Socolov, and Juggy Gales in 1981. The label closed in 1992, when Russell passed away. In 1996, Warlock Records purchased the entire catalog, including the subsidiary Fresh Records, and has adopted both labels as part of its image. | |
